ALPA President Comments on Air India Accident
Air India Flight 171, departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, India, earlier today crashed approximately 5 minutes after takeoff. The B-787-8 aircraft, carrying 242 passengers and crew, was heading for London, UK’s London Gatwick Airport.
Capt. Jason Ambrosi, ALPA’s president, remarked, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Air India Flight 171. Our condolences go out to the families and loved ones of all passengers, crew members, and those affected on the ground in Ahmedabad.”
