Air Wisconsin Pilot Leaders Elect New Officer Team

McLEAN, Va.—The Air Wisconsin Master Executive Council (MEC) of the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) has elected new officers for a two-year term that begins July 1, 2023. The MEC chose its leadership team at its summer meeting in Chicago. The new officers are John “Jack” Roback, chair; Sean Burks, vice chair; and Lorin Fearn, secretary-treasurer.

Capt. Jack Roback
Roback was elected to his first term as MEC chair. A CRJ-200 pilot, he currently serves as chair and captain representative for ALPA Local Council 51, representing ARW’s Chicago-based pilots. He also chairs the MEC’s Retirement and Insurance Committee and chaired the Aeromedical Committee for more than a decade. A former United Airlines mechanic and Part 135 air charter pilot, Roback will celebrate his 20th year with Air Wisconsin in 2024. He lives in Franklin, Va.

Capt. Sean Burks
Burks was elected MEC vice chair and is currently a member of ARW’s Negotiating Committee and chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee. He joined ARW in 2019 after more than a dozen years of service as a U.S. Army combat engineer, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. A CRJ-200 pilot based in Dayton, Ohio, Burks lives in Fairborn, Ohio.

Capt. Lorin Fearn
Fearn was reelected to a third term as MEC secretary-treasurer. He has worked at ARW for 22 years. A Chicago-based CRJ-200 captain, he chairs ARW’s Hotel Committee and is a member of the Jumpseat/Security Committee. He lives in South Hadley, Mass.
