Delta Pilots Focus on Contract Enforcement

After ratifying an industry-leading contract in March 2023, the Delta Master Executive Council (MEC) has aggressively used the grievance process to enforce the contract and ensure Delta management complies with the agreements both parties signed in good faith. A dedicated team of pilot volunteers continue to track contract compliance to protect pilots' contractual rights.

With the current contract becoming amendable on Dec. 31, 2026, preparations for the next bargaining cycle are underway starting with education on the current contract and how it compares to peer pilot groups. This fall, the Negotiating Committee will solicit pilot input on bargaining priorities through direct feedback, surveys, and polling.

In 2025, Delta hired 538 pilots and currently has 17,347 pilots on the seniority list. Hiring is expected to continue in 2026 with numbers to be determined.

Contract enforcement of our hard-fought-for agreement will continue to be a priority moving forward.
