Amerijet Pilots Focus on Contract Implementation

On June 25, 2023, Amerijet International pilots ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that contained significant improvements, including pay raises upward of 45 percent, as well as enhanced scheduling, work rules, and retirement security. By March 1, 2024, the previous Master Executive Council (MEC) had passed the torch to a newly elected council, with Capt. Andrew Molbert voted chair and F/O Naveed Akhtar vice chair, while Capt. Roy Thompson was reelected secretary-treasurer.

Since taking office, the new MEC has focused on ensuring proper contract implementation. The MEC leaders continue working diligently to create and fully stand up several committees. They've also negotiated three memorandums of understanding, further strengthening their contract and staving off the potential of a furlough.

In 2025, the MEC's priority is continuing to educate the pilots about their contract and making sure that every pilot has a solid working knowledge of the agreement.

It is my sincere hope that the improvements in pay, quality of life, retirement, and insurance will enable the company to recruit and retain pilots to sustain our continued growth into new markets.
