Capt. Tim Perry

ALPA Canada President

Capt. Tim Perry
Toronto, Ontario
19 Years with ALPA

WestJet Capt. Tim Perry serves as the ALPA Canada president, proudly representing close to 13,500 pilots at 21 Canadian airlines before Parliament and around the world. Perry heads a team of pilot representatives in leadership positions at ALPA Canada, the International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations (IFALPA), and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). He began his four-year term on January 1, 2023.

Perry routinely provides testimony to the Canadian government to address labour issues and advocate for aviation safety and security advancements and protections. Under his leadership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the government looked to labour organizations such as ALPA to ensure the short- and long-term success of Canadian air travel.

At WestJet, Perry served as the Master Executive Council vice chair and played a key role in the organizing campaign that ultimately led to the certification of ALPA as the pilot group's labour union. He joined ALPA in 2006, flying for Calm Air where he served as a Local Executive Council representative.

Perry is based and lives in Winnipeg, Man., and flies the B-737 for WestJet. He graduated from Selkirk College with a diploma in Aviation Technology.

I want to bring a louder, clearer voice to Ottawa, and a key part of my plan is to combine all of our voices by coordinating and making it easier to become involved.
