Spirit Airlines Capt. Sean Creed was elected by ALPA’s Executive Board to serve as the Association’s vice president–administration/secretary on Oct. 18, 2023, to fill a vacancy in the position. The ALPA Board of Directors ratified this election on Nov. 8, 2023, making it official, and Capt. Creed’s term continues through Dec. 31, 2026.

As vice president–administration/secretary, Creed executes the policies of the Association’s governing bodies and acts as custodian for all ALPA documents, contracts, leases, property deeds, and general records. He oversees ALPA’s membership programs and serves as an ex officio member of the Association’s Election and Ballot Certification Board.

In addition, Creed oversees the union’s Professional Development Group, which coordinates the actions of the ALPA Diversity, Equity, Belonging, and Inclusion; Education; Leadership; and Membership Committees to aid and support union members throughout their professional careers, from recruitment to retirement.

Most recently, Creed acted as ALPA’s national resource coordinator and executive vice president–Group A for the Spirit Airlines pilots. Based in Chicago, Ill., he flies the Airbus A321. He’s been a member of ALPA’s National Strategic Planning Committee, Strategic Preparedness and Strike Committee, and the Leadership Committee. During his tenure with Spirit, he has served as both Master Executive Council (MEC) and Local Executive Council (LEC) secretary-treasurer. He was also a member of his MEC and LEC Grievance Committees.

A graduate of Central Washington University, Creed previously flew for Great Lakes Aviation. He currently resides in Connersville, Ind., with his wife and children.
