Air Transat Capt. Louis-Éric Mongrain was elected to the position of Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) Canada vice president—administration and finance on Oct. 19, 2022, at the Association’s biennial Board of Directors meeting. He began his four-year term on Jan. 1, 2023.

Based in Toronto, Ont., Capt. Mongrain is an Airbus A330 and A321 pilot. He previously served his pilot group as its Local Executive Council #225 vice chair, and secretary-treasurer in Toronto, Ont. Prior to flying with Air Transat, he was a pilot for Jazz Aviation and former CanJet.

A graduate of the University of Toronto with an honours, bachelor-of-science degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science, Capt. Mongrain lives in Toronto with his wife and children.
