Wasaya Capt. James Harding was elected executive vice president, Group C, of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l, on Oct. 30, 2024, at ALPA’s biennial Board of Directors meeting. His two-year term began on Jan. 1, 2025.

Based in Thunder Bay, ON, Capt. Harding is a De Havilland Canada DHC-8 “Dash 8” pilot, and serves as a member of the union’s Strategic Planning Committee. He previously acted as chair and member of his pilot group’s Negotiating Committee. He also played an essential role as a member of the organizing committee that helped secure ALPA representation for Wasaya pilots.

Prior to flying for Wasaya, Capt. Harding worked as an electrician while attending training at flight schools in Calgary, AB.

Capt. Harding lives in Thunder Bay, with his wife and daughter.
